General information

  • NEM sends out groups of short-term workers to the Middle East several times a year. For Israel and other Egypt around the 1st of January and the 1st of September.
  • NEM organises one or two preparation days in the months before departure; attendance is compulsory for all candidates.
  • NEM provides (group) accommodation, food and drink.
  • The nature of the voluntary work is agreed upon after consultation. Most volunteer work will be in caring for elderly, for children and for physically and mentally handicapped of all ages.
  • As part of the Bridge Builders programme, one day each week short-term workers will be introduced to the culture of the country they visit, through lectures and excursions and study assignments. They will also receive teaching on the fulfilment of Biblical prophecy, the ministry of reconciliation, etc. Active participation of each short termer is essential in the process of learning.
  • Each short-term worker is personally responsible for his/her own travel expenses and health insurance.
    Fees for the Bridge Builders programmes:
    (Fees include food, accommodation, teaching and travel expenses during the programme);
    1) three months in Israel from September - December £ 1835
    2) three months in Egypt £ 1455
  • The Bridge Builders programme generally lasts for three months.
